Congratulations to Josh Heaton, a Solution Lead at BlueModus, who has recently passed his Kentico 12 Certified Developer Exam, in order to recertify his credentials as a Kentico Certified Developer.
“There are many changes to the Kentico platform with the MCV first development model in version 12,” notes BlueModus Director of Development Nick Bushnell. “Engineers who were masters of portal mode design need to retool and shift the way they craft solutions. We are proud of Josh in getting up to speed on the changes in Kentico 12 and obtaining this certification.”
The Kentico 12 Certified Developer Exam is a secure, online exam comprised of 50 questions that must be completed within 90 minutes. To pass, Josh needed not only knowledge of Kentico’s features and functionality, but also the ability to demonstrate practical experience using the product. From a high-level perspective, the exam focuses on topics such as designing, developing, and maintaining Kentico websites, ASP.NET development, using the MS SQL database management language, and creating data-driven web user interfaces.
“Kentico's exams have always been comprehensive in covering a wide array of Kentico-related topics. With their recent advances in MVC development, it adds another layer of information that developers need to learn prior to taking the exam,” says Josh. “Preparation is key to success: Not only learning about new features in the latest version, but also application of those features and Kentico's recommendations for best practices. I plan to use the knowledge I gained while preparing for this exam to work with our clients on creating more effective, Kentico-based solutions.”
BlueModus, as the #1 Kentico Solution Partner worldwide, remains proud of the large number of its colleagues who are certified on the platform. With the inclusion of Josh, the company currently employs 31 Kentico Certified Developers, as well as 18 Kentico Certified Marketers.
