Denver, CO, & Charleston, SC — BlueModus, Inc., the Denver-based premier marketing technology agency and BlueKey, a full-service digital agency from Charleston, South Carolina, are proud partners in the recent launch of the Alzheimer’s Association website at www.alz.org, using the Kentico platform.
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. This new platform powers a more comprehensive, responsive site that supports the Association’s focus on serving their constituents.
“The Alzheimer’s Association is proud to offer millions of people with the disease, family members, caregivers, healthcare providers and the research community a new web experience," said Mike Kobus, Director of Technical Strategy at the Alzheimer’s Association. “BlueModus and BlueKey were critical partners in ensuring that the new site was a robust resource for our broad constituent base and encouraged engagement in the cause.”
The project began with a creative strategy and design session as well as a full technical definition effort. Out of this initial discovery came the complete website build. BlueKey, BlueModus, and the Alzheimer’s Association teams collaborated closely through each step of the process, with BlueKey contributing digital strategy, information architecture, content consulting, and design work, BlueModus providing a full technical Kentico implementation, and the Alzheimer’s team supporting both agencies throughout the project.
"We're really proud to have worked alongside BlueModus and the hardworking team at Alzheimer's Association on their website redesign," said BlueKey Founder and President Ben Cash. "We know their new site will support their constituents for years to come."
This implementation features components that provide continued quality service for the diverse variety of audiences that are served by the website. In addition to the Alzheimer’s Association primary site, the organization had more than 75 different local chapter sites that were also built on Kentico. Each chapter follows the same basic structure while allowing unique content and sub-pages. Additionally, a mirror site was developed for Spanish-speaking audiences.
The technical solution for the new site features multiple complex integrations, including an extensive chapter/location search tool, as well as a content migration system that crawled over 5,000 pages from their previous site. The Kentico solution also provides a role and permission scheme which allows proper content management access to editors of both the national and chapter sites within the same platform.
“We knew this was a huge endeavor when we scoped it nearly two years ago,” notes BlueModus Senior Director of Strategic Solutions Brant Cline, “and it’s hard to overstate the amount of collaboration, creativity, and technical expertise that were poured into this project since then. I’m incredibly proud of what our collective teams have accomplished and can’t wait to see both the Alzheimer’s Association and the many users of its site begin reaping the benefits of this new platform.”
