The Kentico Xperience 12 Certified Developer Exam is a secure, online exam comprised of 50 questions that must be completed within 90 minutes. To pass, a technologist needs not only knowledge of Kentico’s features and functionality, but also the ability to demonstrate practical experience using the product. From a high-level perspective, the exam focuses on topics such as designing, developing, and maintaining Kentico websites, ASP.NET development, using SQL, and creating data-driven web user interfaces.
“Version 12 of Kentico Xperience is a very exciting evolution for Kentico, as it shifts the platform to ASP.Net MVC5. This development model is based on a separate Model, View, and Controller (MVC) application that handled the presentation layer of the live website, while the Kentico Content Management System (CMS) serves as the content platform,” says Dave, “This means we can build a website using Kentico to store data and manage content, but generate the entire design of the site using custom MVC controllers and views. This makes future changes to the design and the aesthetics of the website separate from the data and content.”
