BlueModus Donates to Wounded Warrior Project

BlueModus loves to celebrate our team, and we love giving back to the community - so several years ago, we decided to combine these two passions. Management selects two colleagues from the company each month who embody the values that make BlueModus a great place to work. BlueModus then donates to the charity chosen by the colleagues.

This month, one of those colleagues is Stephanie Weijers. She is a Senior Project Manager who joined our team in April 2021. Stephanie helps anywhere needed. She leads her team, removes roadblocks, and ensures they can focus on taking care of our clients.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) recently received a $500 donation from BlueModus on behalf of our colleague, Stephanie Weijers. Since 2003, the Wounded Warrior Project has met the growing needs of warriors, their families, and their caregivers — helping them achieve their highest ambition. WWP focuses on veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001.

The WPP offers services and programs but also a community, so no warrior ever feels alone. More than 52,000 servicemen and women were physically injured in recent military conflicts. In addition, 500,000 veterans live with invisible wounds, from depression to post-traumatic stress disorder, and 320,000 experiencing debilitating brain trauma. Advancements in technology and medicine save lives – but the quality of those lives might be profoundly altered. The numbers speak for themselves because not every warrior can. With the support of the WWP community of donors and team members, they give a voice to those needs and empower our warriors to begin the journey to recovery.

“Thank you for this opportunity to donate to an organization close to my heart,” shared Stephanie. “With my experience as a civilian contractor in Iraq, I’ve made many friends in the military. I am glad the Wounded Warrior Project is around to take care of our veterans and their families when they come back from overseas hurt.”
