We love celebrating our colleagues and giving back to our community, so we combined these two loves several years ago. Each month, BlueModus’ Management Team selects two colleagues who shine and represent the values that make this a great workplace. These two colleagues select a charity, and we donate to it on their behalf.

For April 2023, one of those colleagues is AJ Hoffer. He joined the BlueModus Team in May 2021 as a Solution Lead. AJ brings infectious positivity to BlueModus every day. He cares immensely about his clients and continually seeks ways to help his team. Plus, he is hilarious and a joy to be around.

AJ has selected the Water Street Mission for a $500 donation from BlueModus. The Water Street Mission proudly serves the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, community by helping provide basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter to those in need.

“WSM is close to my heart because they are the main lifeline for many marginalized people and families. They provide emergency shelters, food banks, health clinics, and even childcare. They really do it all!” said AJ.

Water Street Mission started in 1916 when a small group formed and began meeting the needs of the homeless and hungry in Lancaster by opening temporary shelters for families. In 1917, Pennsylvania recognized Water Street Rescue Mission as an official organization. Today, the Water Street Mission serves over 400 meals daily, shelters over 170 guests nightly, provides thousands of hours of life-skills courses, counseling, and job training monthly, and coordinates over 3,000 medical and dental visits annually.
