BlueModus loves to celebrate our team, and we love giving back to the community - so several years ago, we decided to combine these two passions. Management selects two colleagues from the company each month who embody the values that make BlueModus a great place to work. BlueModus then donates to the charity chosen by the colleagues.
This month, one of those colleagues is David Stevens. He is a Solution Lead who joined our team in March 2019. In his role, David leads a team of developers to help craft a robust technical architecture and strategy for our clients’ projects. For his charity, David has selected Pendleton Place for a donation.
With over 40 years of service in the Greenville, South Carolina community, Pendleton Place offers programs that protect, equip and heal vulnerable children, young adults, and families. They strengthen children while rebuilding families because it’s their goal for each child to have a stable home environment and a bright future. Annually, Pendleton Place serves more than 1,200 individuals and community members, including over 500 direct clients, nearly 280 families and their children, and 112 foster families.
Pendleton Place has three primary programs or initiatives that focus its services, which include:
- Assessment Center - A multi-agency evaluation of families led by Pendleton Place to identify root causes of neglect or abuse and establish recommendations for a plan to improve the well-being of children;
- Connections Count - Support and mentoring that equips young adults in need to lead successful lives as independent adults;
- Smith House - Residential home for teen girls.
“In honor of National Runaway Prevention Month, I’m choosing Pendleton Place, a local foundation that builds and improves life for children and young adults,” shared David. “They support families in crisis by providing foster care, skills training, abuse prevention, and homeless intervention. I’m grateful for their efforts to build stable families and bright futures in Greenville, South Carolina.”
