BlueModus Donates to Destiny Rescue

BlueModus loves to celebrate our team, and we love giving back to the community - so several years ago, we decided to combine these two passions. Our Management Team selects two colleagues from the company each month who embody the values that make BlueModus a great place to work. BlueModus then donates to the charity chosen by the colleagues.

This month, one of those colleagues is Austin Kimmel. He is a Solution Lead who joined our team in August 2021. In his role, Austin leads a team of developers to help craft a robust technical architecture and strategy for our clients’ projects. For his charity, Austin has selected Destiny Rescue for a donation.

“This charity is important to me because human trafficking is a huge issue that I feel is not getting the publicity that it needs to.  Children are highly vulnerable, and over 1 million children are exploited by sex trafficking,” shared Austin.

Founded in 2001, Destiny Rescue’s story began with its’ founder and international president Tony Kirwan. While living in Thailand, Tony and his wife heard a man share how he was once invited to have sex with children. “When I heard this story, it really hit me, and I knew I had to do something,” Tony says. “It was at this point; I believe God put the vision of Destiny Rescue in my heart.”

Today, Destiny Rescue’s work has grown into a worldwide organization dedicated to rescuing children from sexual exploitation and trafficking and helping them stay free. In addition, they serve to help amplify the voices of both those who are enslaved and have been freed from abuse.
