BlueModus loves to celebrate our team, and we love giving back to the community - so several years ago, we decided to combine these two passions. Management selects two colleagues from the company each month who embody the values that make BlueModus a great place to work. BlueModus then donates to the charity chosen by the colleagues. 

This month, one of those colleagues is Brandon Henricks. He is a Web Development Lead who joined our team in February 2021. In his role, Brandon works on a project team, helping to build and deploy public and internal facing websites for our clients.  

Created in 1997, Boston Children’s Hospital Trust is the philanthropic resource for Boston Children’s Hospital. Their team works with individuals, families, foundations, and corporations to advance the hospital’s patient care, research, medical training, and community health initiatives. They are also the faces behind many annual fundraising events, like the Mix 104.1 Cares for Kids Radiothon, Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital, Milagros para Niños Gala and many others. 

“My first child was born with a congenital disability, and we didn’t know until my now ex-wife was in her 30th week of pregnancy. Through a lot of poking and prodding, we found out that he had what’s called a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. They scheduled a c-section and the necessary surgeries that he would need to give him the best fighting chance. Unfortunately, after a month-long battle, we lost him to complications from the surgeries and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation ECMO,” shared Brandon. “Throughout this whole process, the people at Boston Children’s Hospital were nothing short of heroic in their efforts to save his life. I couldn’t be more grateful to this organization.”
