BlueModus Donates to Big City Mountaineers

On behalf of our colleague, Jon Knopp, BlueModus made a $500 donation to the Big City Mountaineers, an organization that provides access to nature to underrepresented youths from communities that lack it.

Each month, Management Team at BlueModus selects two colleagues who have gone above and beyond for our clients or our team. These two colleagues are allowed to select a charity for a donation. It is our way to give back to our community and celebrate our incredible colleagues, like Jon Knopp, a Solution Lead at BlueModus. Jon is not only an incredible technologist, who goes above and beyond for our clients, he is also a guy who umps in wherever and whenever needed to help his team. Plus, he has an amazingly positive attitude that he brings to everything he does. He is well respected and appreciated across the entire company.

For the past 30 years, Big City Mountaineers has been working alongside nature and youth agency partners to leave a lasting impact on the lives of young people. By providing free, fully outfitted, and professionally guided backcountry trips, they can connect youth ages eight to eighteen in Boston, Denver, Miami, Minneapolis, Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle with nature and reconnect them with their strengths, skills, and resilience.

“I really love the idea of giving everyone an equal opportunity to explore the outdoors and find solace in nature no matter their background,” shared Jon. “I have benefited from being able to get outdoors away from the busyness of daily life, and it is a great way to reconnect with yourself and nature, something I think everyone can benefit from.”

We encourage everyone to visit the donate section of Big City Mountaineers’ website to learn more about how you can support their excellent work.
