What You Will Be Doing:

This is a hybrid role between administering and managing benefits for our team and helping with overall human resources responsibilities.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other benefits, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, enrollment, and plan changes.
  • Collaborate with benefit providers to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and continuously improve benefit offerings.
  • Create and distribute educational materials to inform employees about available benefits and changes.
  • Coordinate annual benefits, open enrollment, communication, and education to employees.
  • Process benefits-related invoices and maintain accurate records of benefit plan participation.
  • Assist in the development and communication of benefits policies and procedures.
  • Process terminations, including benefits cessation and COBRA administration.

HR Administration:

  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including paperwork, orientation, and benefit enrollment.
  • Serve as backup for the HR Manager in their absence, handling HR-related tasks and ensuring continuity in HR operations, including employee inquiries, payroll processing, and policy enforcement.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems.
  • Participate in recruiting activities, interviews, and offer letters, and assist in coordinating the onboarding process for new hires. 
  • Support employee training and development initiatives, as well as performance management processes.
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive workplace culture and addressing employee concerns or issues.

 

What We Love Finding:

  • While we are a 100% remote company, our preference is for this position to be located in the Denver Metropolitan area. 
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration and general human resources or equivalent work.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and software.
  • Familiarity with the ADP payroll system and multi-state payroll
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all company levels.
  • Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable and professional when speaking with colleagues and vendors.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Committed to meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Effective time management and priority-setting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
