Last week, BlueModus colleagues came together in Austin, Texas, for the chance to enjoy a day of team bonding, food, and fun. This event was the second in a series of summer meet-ups in different cities, in which colleagues who normally work from home offices got the opportunity to connect with each other face-to-face.
The steady growth of BlueModus over the past several years has included the hire of many remote colleagues in the state of Texas, which made Austin a natural choice as a host city. For this gathering, six colleagues based in Texas, along with several based in Denver, met up to partake in a full day of entertaining team activities.
The day’s events included a delicious BBQ and Brew Tour around the city, followed by a relaxing dip at Barton Springs Pool. After dinner, the team visited the famous Congress Avenue “Bat Bridge”, and while very few bats decided to make an appearance, everyone had a great time looking out for them anyway.
“BlueModus Day Austin was a blast,” says Senior Project Manager Carlos Orozco. “I’ve worked with remote colleagues in the past but only at BlueModus have I experienced a true commitment to ensuring that we collectively connect and fully get to know our team members on a personal level.”
Senior Web Developer Brian Foster adds, “BlueModus not only cares about setting business goals, they also truly care about setting relationship goals. This is what makes the company such an awesome company to be a part of. Thanks for the delicious BBQ!”
Following the success of BlueModus events in Austin and Seattle, team members are now getting ready for even more meet-ups in Nashville and Tampa. To find out more about what our BlueModus team members have been doing, check out our latest team articles.
