The devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey has not only been massive, it will no doubt continue to impact the residents of the Houston area for years to come. For its monthly Give Back donation, BlueModus has donated $500 toward the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts for the millions of people affected by this tragedy.

"Selecting this month's charity recipient was an easy decision," says BlueModus Controller Laurie Halvorsen, "We've all seen the extensive damage caused by Harvey, and know there are so many people in the Gulf Coast in desperate need of help from organizations like the American Red Cross."

 The Red Cross has historically provided support to hurricane-ravaged communities in many ways, including:

• Opening evacuation shelters to provide shelter and food until families can return home, as well as meeting housing needs for those whose homes were most seriously damaged
• Distributing water, food and relief supplies in impacted neighborhoods
• Helping those who need first aid or medical care
• Creating recovery plans to get families back on their feet
