At BlueModus, we’ve always cherished the Thanksgiving season as a time for gratitude, reflection, and community support. We united for our annual Thanksgiving canned food drive for years, combatting hunger in Colorado communities. However, as our team expanded to include nearly 150 colleagues across 30 states and remote work became the norm, our annual tradition evolved into something even more impactful - a virtual fundraiser with Feeding America.
The challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and record inflation have led to a staggering increase in food insecurity across the United States. With over 34 million people, including 9 million children, facing food insecurity, the need for support has never been greater. Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization has been at the forefront of providing food to those in need through its network of 200 food banks for over four decades. In an average year, they supply food to 40 million people, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors at risk of hunger. It’s worth noting that food insecurity knows no boundaries, affecting people from all walks of life. Their commitment to ending hunger aligns perfectly with our values at BlueModus.
Once again, our remarkable Vice President of UX Strategy, Erin Stevens, took the lead in organizing a company-wide fundraiser throughout early November. The response was overwhelming, with our dedicated team uniting to raise an incredible $3,925. But the BlueModus spirit didn’t stop there. To maximize our impact, BlueModus matched our team’s donation dollar-for-dollar, resulting in a total contribution of $7,850.
