BlueModus Gives Back to the Dumb Friends League

As part of its ongoing program to give back to our community, this month BlueModus has donated $1,000 to the Dumb Friends League, a Denver charity that is the largest community-based animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain region. Their mission is to provide a strong, compassionate, and steadfast voice for the animals who cannot speak for themselves.

Each year, the Dumb Friends League welcomes more than 20,000 homeless pets into their shelters. Their services include providing humane care to lost and relinquished pets, finding companion animals and horses new homes via adoption, and rescuing sick, injured, abused, and neglected animals. No animals who need their help are turned away. The organization also offers training and advice to help pets stay in homes, works to reduce pet overpopulation, and provides education services about compassion for animals.

“The Denver Dumb Friends League is important to me because my dog Ellie is a rescue, and my family had many rescue animals when I was growing up,” shares BlueModus Director of Delivery Jesse Hormachea, who selected this month’s charity. “This organization does a great job taking in animals from all over the country to be adopted in the Denver area, and raising awareness with events like the Furry Scurry. I appreciate having them as part of the community.”
