Earlier this month, a team of 14 BlueModus employees and friends got muddy for a wonderful cause, participating in this year’s Muckfest MS, a 5K mud and obstacle course. This was the second year in a row BlueModus has sponsored a team, an event where all proceeds are donated to the National MS Society. Colleagues who completed all the muddy obstacles included Julie Biesiada, Stacey Beechum, Jason Beattie, Jin Tak, Kristin Harper, Shivani Sodani, Mike Lamoureux, Kate Kunert, Josh Ward, and Mark Wilson.
Over 2,300 Denver-area participants not only ran the course, but also helped raise more $300,000 for the National MS Society. The Muckfest MS is an annual event held in multiple U.S. cities, and to date has raised more than $32 million for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In addition to raising money, Muckfest MS helps rally community support for people in the community living with MS.
“I am so thrilled our company continues to support this worthy cause!” says Julie Biesiada, BlueModus Accounting & Contracts Manager, who captained and organized the BlueModus team. “Thanks to the support of BlueModus, we were able to send an even bigger team than we had last year. Not only does that mean more financial support for a worthy cause, but it also warms my heart for all these folks to come out and spend their Saturday to support MS.”
“It was my first time participating in Muckfest, and I had a blast!” adds BlueModus UX/UI Developer Jin Tak. “It was such a fun team bonding experience, plus it’s a great foundation to support. Thank you BlueModus for supporting MS!”
