Jim Piller Joins BlueModus as Solution Lead

We are thrilled to announce that Jim Piller has joined the BlueModus team as a Solution Lead. Jim brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to our organization, making him an excellent addition to our talented team. His extensive background in development, architecture, and content management systems will undoubtedly contribute to the success of our client projects.

Jim Piller hails from Strongsville, Ohio, with a passion for technology (and Star Wars) that rivals the fastest ship in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon. He is driven by a desire to expedite business growth through automation, process refinement, and the implementation of cutting-edge technology. Throughout his impressive 20-year career, Jim has honed his skills in multiple programming languages, including C#, ASP .NET MVC, and various content management systems, such as Kentico, Sitecore, and Umbraco. Jim is also well-versed in working with third-party APIs, including Mavenlink, Salesforce, and Shopify.

Jim’s resume speaks volumes about his skills and proficiency. In his most recent position as an ASP.NET C# Developer at Shaw, Inc., he worked on a Kentico-based e-commerce website, implementing essential improvements and bug fixes. He also spearheaded the integration of cXML orders into the e-commerce platform, streamlining the order process. Jim’s expertise further shone as he introduced CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for seamless deployments and shared his knowledge by coaching team members on efficient Git usage. His Kentico Xperience Certified Developer certification further underscores his expertise in content management systems.

Before this, as the VP of Technology at Falls & Co., Jim played a pivotal role in defining the firm’s technology strategy. He automated processes to enhance internal efficiencies, managed the migration of on-premises file shares into SharePoint and Azure, and oversaw the creation of an intranet site on SharePoint, offering a comprehensive platform for internal communication and collaboration. Additionally, while at Falls & CO, he held the positions of Director of Technology and Lead Developer.

In his new role as a Solution Lead at BlueModus, Jim will be responsible for the technical vision of client projects. This will encompass translating business requirements into technical specifications, decomposing requirements into sprints or tickets for the team, conducting code reviews, and leading client demos on completed work. What sets this role apart is that, in addition to architecting solutions and mentoring the team, Jim will also be actively writing code and developing complex solutions alongside his team.

Aaron Brosey, Development Director at BlueModus, is excited about Jim’s addition to the team. He remarked, “Jim’s extensive experience and passion for technology make him a perfect fit for BlueModus. His background in content management systems is a huge bonus for our team. We’re eager for Jim to help us achieve our client’s goals and deliver top-notch technical solutions.”
